On September 9, legendary jazz musician Herb Alpert will re-release 24 classic albums from his illustrious catalog. The albums were remastered from the original analog tape mixes by Grammy-winning mastering engineer Bernie Grundman, who was the mastering engineer on many of the Tijuana Brass and Alpert albums. All releases, several of which have been out of print for a number of years (in Europe, some have not been available in over 30 years!), will be presented with their original artwork, making this collection must-have for the Herb Alpert fan! Herb Alperts Ninth is a 1967 album by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. It reached number 4 on the Billboard charts and spent 18 weeks on the Top 40.[1] It was the last album by the Tijuana Brass to be released in both mono and stereo versions; all albums afterward would be released in stereo only. - It was, as its title indicated, the ninth album released by the Brass. Its cover, in addition to a number of still photos from Brass concerts, included a pop-culture joke. Volume 2 is the second album by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass, known in this recording as quot;Herb Alperts Tijuana Brassquot;. It was released in 1963 on A&M Records, and sold poorly upon initial release. After the Tijuana Brass became massively popular with hits from their later albums, Volume 2 was reissued in 1966 and eventually reached #17 on the Billboard album chart. A CD version of the album was issued by A&M Records in 1990 but is now out of print.
