These Western Red Cedar shingles are 18" in length and vary in width from 3" to 8" wide. Red label shingles are a #2 grade that do allow for knots. The face is typically 11" clear or better on the 18" shingle. Limited sapwood and flat grain are allowed. Limited knots and defects are allowed above the clear portion. This shingle is 3/8" to 7/16" thick on the butt end and tapers to an average 1/8" thickness. This shingle is sold in packs of 12 square feet. This is an ideal pack size for birdhouses, small repairs, outdoor projects, and hobbies.
